FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots Pro Bowl cornerback Christian Gonzalez, who has missed the past two games due to a shoulder injury, said he will return for Sunday's home game against the New York Jets.
"I'm good now, ready for Sunday," Gonzalez told reporters Wednesday.
Gonzalez injured his shoulder in the team's Week 3 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars and initially thought he was OK after the game. He explained Wednesday what unfolded in the days following the game.
"At that point, you got a lot of adrenaline. Adrenaline covers a lot of things in this sport," he said. "At that time, I felt good. Things happen, so it is what it is and I'm ready for this week.
"... I've been itching, kind of going a little crazy when I'm not getting to play. It's hard. You put in work with all these guys and then you don't get to be out there with them."
