LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Rams defensive end Myles Garrett is "making good progress" in his recovery from knee surgery, coach Sean McVay said, but the team is unlikely to open his 21-day practice window next week.
Garrett, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, had arthroscopic surgery on his knee in mid-September and was placed on injured reserve. Garrett played in the Rams' season opener but said after the game that he was not 100% healthy.
"His surgery went really well," McVay said Saturday. "He's making good progress. As far as what that timeline looks like, it's kind of week-to-week in terms of how he feels. But I would say it's more likely that we do not start his clock next week."
