Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique has said Manchester City deserve to keep the trophies won during the period in which they have been found guilty of breaching Premier League rules.
An independent commission found that City broke financial rules between 2009 and 2018. Sanctions have not yet been announced, but there have been calls for the club to be stripped of the three Premier League titles won during the nine-year period.
Luis Enrique, however, insists City -- who have appealed the judgement -- should keep their trophies.
"It's a surprise, but we need to respect the process and wait for the final decision," said Enrique.

If I speak only about football and the things I saw on the pitch, they deserved those trophies. We have to wait for the decision and nothing else."
Luis Enrique is preparing his Paris Saint-Germain team to play City in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Pep Guardiola is set to attend the game at the Etihad Stadium in a show of support for his former club. And Enrique insists the damning Premier League judgement should not taint what the former City boss achieved in Manchester.

"The trophies you win on the pitch remain on the pitch," said Enrique.
"They deserved to win that and I hope they can avoid the sanction. But we have to wait. The things I will say to Pep I will do in private.
"I hope everything works out well for Manchester City because what they've done on the pitch has been incredible."
