TEMPE, Ariz. -- Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur said he does not plan on making changes to the team's coaching duties after a 1-4 start.
LaFleur said Monday, after a 45-21 loss to the Detroit Lions, that he will not replace himself as the offensive playcaller or defensive coordinator Nick Rallis, who calls the defensive plays.
"I mean, obviously, my job is to see the issues and handle the issues and have the tough conversations," LaFleur said. "So, if I felt like changes were needed for us to help us win this week, then I'm going to do that. It's my responsibility, but I don't think that gives us the best chance to win this week.
"I think the best thing to do right now is reevaluate what we've done, what we've done well, because there are some bright spots, but there's also a lot of spots that we got to improve on. And I told the defense when I talked to the defense today where our changes are going to be made; again, I'll keep that in-house, and I'm fired up to see it happen."
