ATLANTA -- On Saturday night, Ravens coach Jesse Minter told his players that there's not a locker room in the NFL that has more confidence in its backup quarterback than Baltimore has in Tyler Huntley.
A day later, Huntley backed up that faith by leading the Ravens to a 30-23 comeback victory over the Atlanta Falcons in overtime.
With starting quarterback Lamar Jackson out because of a sprained left ankle, Huntley delivered the most clutch performance of his seven-year career, going 11-for-11 passing for 80 yards during the final two drives. Looking like the two-time NFL MVP, Huntley tied the score in the final minute of regulation with a 7-yard touchdown pass and then won the game with a 1-yard touchdown on a quarterback sneak.
"[Huntley] is just one of the coolest dudes," Minter said. "He doesn't really get rattled. He just is always the same, and he keeps such a good demeanor about him, keeps his composure. He played with more and more confidence as the game went on and as the moments got bigger, which is really cool to see."
Behind Huntley's performance, the Ravens are 4-1 for the first time in five years and hold a one-game lead atop the AFC North.
