Senne Lammens has said that Manchester United head to Atlético Madrid determined to get rid of the "sour" taste left in their mouth by Saturday's disappointing late draw against Tottenham.
The scrutiny on boss Michael Carrick's position and the club grows by the match with the afterglow of last season's third-place finish and Champions League return long since extinguished.
Boos rang around Old Trafford after United blew a much-needed win on Saturday night, with Spurs recovering from Rodrigo Bentancur's red card as Dominic Solanke snatched a 1-1 draw in stoppage time.

"That's the position you want to be in, so it's very disappointing to get the last goal against us at the end.
"We need to learn from it a lot, because these are the games you have to try to pull towards yourself.
"To win these games is very important if you want to get a good season, so it's very important for us to learn from this and to move on, to get these games behind us."
United have just six points to show from their opening six games -- their worst start to a campaign since 1986 -- and now face a tough Champions League game at Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
An intense Premier League trip to rivals Leeds follows on Sunday before another European game away to Como as a tough schedule rumbles on.
"I mean, you can look at it both ways, to be honest," Lammens said. "We know there are a lot of games coming very fast.
"After a disappointment, you can take that disappointment with you, or you can get it changed real quick and know there's a game coming up very quickly.
"For me personally, if I maybe don't have the best game, I'm looking forward to the next game to get that sour feeling out of my mouth, so I think that's the feeling we have to get.
"We know we showed a lot of good things as well today, so take those things and learn from the bad things. There are a lot of very important games, but we also love to play those games.
"We fought last year to be in the Champions League, so we're very happy to be there. And if you want to go far in that competition as well, you have to win those games as well."
