ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Ahead of a primetime matchup with the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, the Denver Broncos practiced Wednesday with three of their four running backs either limited or out of practice, with coach Sean Payton saying he still hoped for the best.
J.K. Dobbins, who left Sunday's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third quarter with a left hamstring injury, and RJ Harvey, who did not play Sunday because of a hamstring injury he suffered in the season opener, were both limited in practice.
And rookie Jonah Coleman did not practice. Coleman sprained an ankle during Sunday's game, but he stayed in the lineup and was the running back on the field to help the Broncos seal the win. He had 33 of his 39 rushing yards, including two 12-yard runs, on the Broncos' final possession, when the offense used up the final 4:41 on the clock.
Asked Wednesday if he had concerns about the position heading into Sunday's game, Payton didn't offer details about the injuries but added, "I think we're good at that position... I think we're going to be all right.''
