Old Trafford -- the home of Manchester United -- has seen plenty of history over the years. Now, fans can own a piece of the pitch...for £125 ($165).
The hallowed stadium has witnessed countless victories -- particularly during the Sir Alex Ferguson era, in which United won 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League trophies, and numerous FA Cup triumphs.
The club is selling chunks of the ground off.

Martin Rickett/PA Images via Getty Images Old Trafford has borne witness to some of United's worst moments, too, including a 5-0 defeat to bitter rivals Liverpool, a 6-1 loss to Tottenham and, most recently, a capitulation against Brighton in the Carabao Cup -- in which the Red Devils let a 2-0 lead slip and fell to a 3-2 defeat.
The loss to Brighton marked the first time in 42 years that United had lost a match at home when leading at half-time.
According to club media, the pitch was completely dug up and stripped back to its foundation in June -- for the first time in 14 years -- and sections of it were preserved and then placed into glass cubes.

On their website, United said the digging up of the pitch was completed by groundsperson Tony Sinclair and was done to regrow the surface in order to "improve player welfare and water drainage."
United fans may be hoping that their season will soon improve along with the pitch.
