Josh Jacobs' court appearance moved up to Sept. 10

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Packers running back Josh Jacobs' initial court appearance on misdemeanor charges has been moved up more than two months.

Jacobs, who was charged with battery and criminal destruction of property, is now scheduled to appear Sept. 10 at 11 a.m. CT at the Brown County courthouse, after initially being scheduled for Nov. 17, according to Wisconsin court records.

Messages left for the district attorney and Jacobs' lawyers seeking explanation for the date change have not been returned.
