Chelsea have had a €45 million (£38.5m) bid for Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara rejected amid ongoing talks with Manchester City over the possible departure of Enzo Fernández, sources have told ESPN.
The 22-year-old is interested in a move to Stamford Bridge but sources suggest a deal is unlikely to be agreed between the clubs at that price.
The Blues are also in talks to sign Roma's Manu Kane but as of Tuesday morning, no breakthrough was imminent.
Chelsea's interest in the pair comes as City step up their pursuit of Fernández with the clubs now in direct talks over a possible deal.

Chelsea had hoped to draw a line under the situation but Fernández wants to leave the club and sources say the Blues are open to a last-minute exit if their terms are met.
