MANCHESTER, England -- Michael Carrick has left the door open for more Manchester United's signings before the transfer deadline, saying "we'll have to wait and see."
United have spent more than £150 million so far this summer to revamp the midfield with the arrivals of Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Carlos Baleba.
The club are still working on potential targets at left-back. But with 48 hours to go before the window closes on Tuesday, Carrick is remaining cautious about the possibility of further boosting his squad.
"It's always difficult to say, to be honest, when there's so little time left," Carrick told a news conference after the 5-2 win over Ipswich on Sunday.
"I think the situation that we're in, I think the business that we've managed to do, I'm pleased with. I think we're a better group, a better squad, potentially a better team, you know. Adding Marcus [Rashford] into that feels like a new signing.
"So, in that respect, we're quite happy. We're always open to if there's something else to be able to add, so I wouldn't shut that down, but as it stands, we'll have to wait and see."

The visitors took the lead in the first half before a Bruno Fernandes hat-trick and goals from Harry Maguire and Bryan Mbeumo earned United's first win of the season.

"I'm not getting carried away," Carrick said.
"I think we've got players within the team, the group, and the squad that are capable of creating and scoring goals and sharing the goals. We shared the goals particularly well last season.
"The biggest pleasing thing for me was, we spoke about actually in the week, about dealing with setbacks. There's a lot of highlights, and there's a lot of really good football today."
