Dolphins acquire QB Kyle McCord in trade with Packers

The Miami Dolphins acquired quarterback Kyle McCord in a trade with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday in exchange for a 2028 sixth-round draft pick.

McCord becomes starting quarterback Malik Willis' new backup with the Dolphins. Miami traded Quinn Ewers to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday, and the pick headed to the Packers is the same one acquired by the Dolphins in that deal, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

This is the first trade between Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst and his former protege, Dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivan.
