GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers are adding some much-needed depth at tight end by signing veteran Jonnu Smith, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Smith, 31, played last season for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played in all 17 games but had just 38 catches for 222 yards and two touchdowns. He was most productive with the Miami Dolphins the previous season, when he put up a career-high 884 receiving yards and scored eight touchdowns in his lone Pro Bowl season.
The Packers will be his sixth NFL team.
