Coventry boss Frank Lampard said his side need to be ready for "tougher times" this season ahead of their Premier League curtain-raiser against champions Arsenal on Friday.
Lampard previously had two spells in charge of Chelsea either side of his stint as Everton boss which saw him guide the club to Premier League safety in 2022.
The Sky Blues earned promotion to the top flight last season as champions where they earned 95 points, 11 points in front of Ipswich who finished second.
Lampard says his previous experience in the Premier League puts him in a good position to deal with some tough times that could come his side's way this season.
He said: "We will go through tougher times this year for sure because of the competition we're up against now so we'll need resilience in moments, calmness in moments.
"An important part of my role is to have that balance and through having a long playing career, through having a managerial career where I've had some really great moments and some difficult moments.
"But as a club we will need to stick together in those moments but I [don't] want to sound like I'm being too negative before something's happened. It's just a reality that we need to be ready for.
"Second spell at Chelsea wasn't great for me, for a PR point. But having been through the challenges for good and for bad in my managerial career I think it puts me in a better spot to deal with -- don't get too high, don't get too low -- continue and focus on your job and I'm better at that than I was previously."
