WESTFIELD, Ind. -- Indianapolis Colts star tight end Tyler Warren sustained a groin injury in Wednesday's joint practice with the Atlanta Falcons and did not return, adding another injury question within the team's group of pass catchers.
The Colts have already been navigating practices without top wide receiver Alec Pierce, still sidelined after undergoing offseason ankle surgery. Now, they might be without their most targeted pass catcher from a season ago, when Warren caught 76 passes as a rookie.
Colts coach Shane Steichen had no details on the severity of Warren's injury but expected the Colts to be cautious.
