Liverpool wide man Cody Gakpo is edging closer to a switch to Tottenham, according to reports. The 27-year-old signed a new deal with the Reds last year, which runs until 2030, but could leave soon after manager Arne Slot was sacked at the end of last season and replaced by Andoni Iraola. Personal terms have already been agreed, but talks are underway between Spurs and Liverpool over a fee for the Netherlands international that could reach £70 million.

Barcola, 23, has slipped down the pecking order in Paris as the club have opted to bring in Godts, Maghnes Akliouche and Ferran Torres for a combined €150 million to bolster their attack. Barcola was an unused substitute during PSG's 2-1 victory over Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup this week, and manager Luis Enrique said afterwards that "when a player doesn't have a smile when coming here, it's better to look for another solution." Sources have told ESPN that the France international is top of Liverpool's wishlist in their pursuit of a wide forward this summer, and that the club have held preliminary talks with his representatives; Arsenal have also been linked, but PSG want a fee of around €150 million.
