HENDERSON, Nev. -- Las Vegas Raiders coach Klint Kubiak was impressed by rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza's strong preseason debut against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night.
Mendoza went 10-for-16 with 97 yards passing and a touchdown in the Raiders' 27-14 loss to Arizona over the course of four offensive series totaling 18 plays.
"He went out and executed the way that he does in practice," Kubiak said Friday. "Some guys get to the game and things change on them, and they move fast and freak out. He was the opposite."
