Washington Commanders star left tackle Laremy Tunsil will undergo surgery to repair a torn triceps and is expected to miss significant time.
Coach Dan Quinn did not disclose how long Tunsil will be sidelined but said the Commanders hope the five-time Pro Bowler will return this season.
Quinn indicated that the Commanders will have a clear idea of Tunsil's return timeline once the surgery is completed.
"It's always tough to talk about a player missing time, especially a great player like LT," Quinn said Monday. "Not only is he an unbelievable player, but he is an absolutely fantastic teammate. He'll be missed, and we certainly can't wait to get him back."
